About Nerds Geeks & Dweebs

Nerds Geeks & Dweebs is primarily a site for those who are, were, or want to be a nerd, geek, or dweeb. But it's also open to anyone who just wants to hang out with us. Fair warning: the conversations here can get a bit deep. And sometimes it gets deeper in here than others.

This site is all about talking about more intellectual topics like math, science, history, and computers. But we also talk about entertainment like movies, music, and books. And then we relax by talking about whatever we want, as long as it follows the rules.

The name Nerds Geeks & Dweebs is meant to poke a little fun at ourselves. Hopefully we older folks have outgrown that social awkwardness that marked us a nerds, geeks, and dweebs back in school. But I'm sure we still have our love of things intellectual. This is the place to celebrate that.

This site is owned and operated by me, Mike Gurak. I actually got the idea for the site from Mensa. They don't tell you much about what you can do as a Mensa member (really Mensa?) but they do tout the fact that you can talk about just about anything under the sun. The catch is there's a membership fee. So I decided to create a place where we could do the same thing for free. And your IQ doesn't have to be in the top 2% to join. If you're reading this (or listening to it as the case may be) then you're welcome to join.

Right now, all the action is taking place in the forums. Registration is required to post but not to read them. Posters are required to follow the rules that can be found at the top of each page of the forums.
